1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ResumeNexus ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

ResumeNexus is an AI-powered resume building platform that helps users create, manage, and optimize their professional resumes and cover letters. Our services include:

  • AI-assisted resume generation
  • Job application tracking
  • Career profile management
  • Cover letter creation
  • Resume sharing and export

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Updating your information as necessary

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to ResumeNexus, including your career information, resumes, and cover letters. By using our service, you grant us a limited, revocable license to process, store, and use your content to deliver the service.

You expressly acknowledge that your career data, resumes, and related job materials may be processed by AI and machine learning systems and may be used to improve, test, and train ResumeNexus AI features, including model tuning and quality systems. Where feasible, this is done using aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data. ResumeNexus and its AI providers do not sell your raw personal resume data to third parties.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false or misleading information on resumes intended for job applications
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the service without permission
  • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the service

6. Subscription and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Access continues until the end of your current billing period after cancellation
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice
  • No refunds are provided for partial months of service

7. AI-Generated Content

Our service uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating resume content. Important considerations:

  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use
  • AI suggestions should be customized to accurately reflect your experience
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content
  • AI-generated content should not include false information

8. AI Data Processing and Third-Party AI Providers

When you use AI features, your input and generated outputs may be sent to and processed by third-party AI model providers to produce results. We attempt to use providers that offer enterprise settings that limit or prohibit use of your raw prompts/content for training outside the services you use, but model operation and training practices may change over time.

You are responsible for:

  • All content you submit through the service
  • Ensuring you have the legal right to submit it
  • Ensuring compliance with any employer or legal restrictions on sharing your information

You agree to keep resumes and profile information legally compliant and accurate for your intended use.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Using our service will result in employment or any specific outcome
  • All defects or errors will be corrected
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMENEXUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ResumeNexus, its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claim, demand, liability, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Service
  • Content you provide, including any false, infringing, or illegal content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Claims brought by third parties based on information you submit

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service:

  • For violation of these Terms
  • For any other reason at our discretion with notice
  • Immediately for severe violations

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the service will immediately cease
  • You may request export of your data before termination
  • We may retain certain information as required by law

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the service. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ResumeNexus operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
