A letter from the founder

Hey there—

I’m Mike, the person behind ResumeNexus.

In late November of 2025—thirty days before Christmas—I lost my job. No warning. No runway. Just a quick call and a calendar that suddenly had nothing on it.

The panic set in fast. Not about bills (though yes, those too) but about the thing every job-seeker dreads: the resume grind.

I’d spent over a decade in software development. I’d built mobile apps, led teams, written firmware for medical devices, shipped augmented reality apps, mentored junior devs, architected systems from scratch. But when I sat down to write a resume, I couldn’t remember half of it.

The projects blurred together. The metrics were scattered across old Jira boards and half-forgotten Slack threads. And every job posting wanted something slightly different, which meant a slightly different resume—every single time.

So I’d spend an hour tailoring one application. Then another hour on the next. Then I’d second-guess the first one and start over. It was demoralizing. It felt like a second full-time job, except this one didn’t pay.

I kept thinking: there has to be a better way. Your career is a body of work. It doesn’t change between applications—only the lens does. Why am I rewriting the whole story every time someone asks to see a different angle?

So I built something.

ResumeNexus starts with one idea: you should only have to tell your career story once. Put all of it in one place—every project, every role, every win you can remember. Then, when you find a job worth applying to, just point ResumeNexus at the posting. It pulls the relevant pieces from your archive and assembles a tailored resume for that specific role, in minutes.

No more rewriting from scratch. No more forgetting that one project from three years ago that’s actually a perfect match. No more staring at a blank page when you’re already stressed enough.

I built this for myself first. Then I realized it was something every job-seeker needs—whether you’re fresh out of college or twenty years deep in your career.

I hope it helps you the way it helped me.
